WILMINGTON, DE — On December 11, FS Vector’s John Collins will speak at the FinTech Forum on Transforming the Future of Business, hosted by the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce. Industry leaders, policymakers, banks and businesses will be brought together to examine the growth of FinTech and its impact on business in Delaware.
Technology is transforming the financial-services industry, reaching underserved communities, lowering the cost of banking and increasing access to capital. Many states are surging ahead with building new regulatory regimes, often to create competitive environments for attracting business. This forum will include lightning talks, panel discussions and fireside chats that focus on the growing industry and its impact on Delaware enterprise and policy.
As a seasoned expert on regulatory and government policy change in the industry, John Collins will moderate panels of experts on legislation, compliance and government regulatory issues across the state and federal level. Collins previously served as Head of Policy at Coinbase and cofounded the First State Fintech Lab, a nonprofit focused on bolstering the fintech ecosystem in the state of Delaware. During his time as a senior staffer in the United States Senate, he organized the first Congressional hearing on cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
