Job Description
The Deputy Chief of Staff, Licensing serves as a strategic and operational partner to the
Licensing Partner, driving planning, execution, and performance across the practice area. This
role ensures that business priorities are translated into actionable plans, executed efficiently,
and tracked effectively.
The ideal candidate combines strong operational, analytical, project management, and
communication skills with the ability to align people, processes, and data around strategic
objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Planning, Operations, & Performance Management
- Collaborate with the Licensing Partner to develop and manage annual operating
plans, quarterly priorities, and key performance metrics. - Track execution of strategic initiatives specific to Licensing, ensuring accountability
and timely delivery. - Identify, build, and implement operational and process improvements that drive
efficiency and scalability. - Own and maintain Salesforce Licensing dashboards and reports, ensuring data
integrity, accuracy, and timely updates. - Support hiring, onboarding, and resource planning in collaboration with Finance & HR.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as liaison between the Licensing practice area and other organizational
departments (Operations, Finance, HR, Marketing, and IT). - Streamline information flow, meeting cadence, and follow-up actions between the
Licensing Client Delivery, Product and Business Development teams. - Coordinate cross-departmental projects and ensure alignment to company-wide
goals.
Leadership Support
- Prepare materials for leadership meetings, board reviews, and strategic updates.
- Represent the Licensing Partner in selected discussions and workstreams.
- Provide clear, concise updates and recommendations on business performance and
priorities.
Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience in business operations, strategy, or project management.
- Familiarity with state financial services licensing processes is a plus
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency with Salesforce, Google
Workspace and Microsoft 365. - Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable operating in a lean, high-impact environment with multiple priorities.
