Smitha Mortis

Smitha is a Managing Principal in FS Vector's Licensing practice, where she helps clients on licensing and compliance matters in the lending, mortgage and EWA space.

Prior to joining FS Fector, Smitha led legal and compliance functions at various early stage fintechs, including Summer, Aspire and Branch Messenger. Smitha was also an early member of Klarna Inc.'s team that launched the company in the US market, spending five years managing the US compliance program. Before Klarna, Smitha was Director, Legal Counsel at PayPal, where she supported the credit business and led the global legal marketing review team.

Smitha is a graduate of Marquette University and holds a J.D. from New England Law Boston.
