Tim Lange is a Partner in FS Vector's Licensing practice and Head of Platform & Strategy for Approved, where he focuses on enhancing the platform's functionality, usability, and overall client value, while driving its go-to-market and growth strategy. Approved is a foundational pillar of FS Vector's Licensing practice and a key component of the firm's broader market positioning. Tim's client work spans financial services and fintech companies of all stages, supporting them through the complexities of state licensing across the country. His expertise in state regulatory frameworks, corporate transactions, and multi-state licensing makes him a trusted advisor to clients navigating the evolving regulatory landscape.

Prior to joining FS Vector, Tim was part of the founding Approved team, and before that, spent nine years working at the Conference of State Bank Supervisors as its senior director of policy, where he focused his efforts on policy and system development for state regulatory agencies. While at CSBS, Tim led external stakeholder engagement for NMLS 2.0, an overhaul designed to make NMLS more intuitive and efficient for industry users and regulators. He also managed and worked on the SAFE Act implementation in NMLS, the expanded use of NMLS for money transmitter, debt collector, consumer lender and other non-mortgage licenses, as well as the development of the first nationwide electronic surety-bond platform. In addition, he worked nationally with state regulators and industry participants to facilitate corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.

Tim holds an M.P.A. from Syracuse University.
